Why 9Yards exists

Many organisations reach moments where the path forward is uncertain. Important decisions carry weight. Technology environments are complex. Delivery programmes involve multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and risks that don't resolve themselves.
When this happens, leaders need experienced perspective — someone who can help clarify direction, test assumptions, and ensure decisions translate into outcomes that can actually be delivered.
9Yards was established to provide that perspective. It was founded by senior technology and architecture leaders with decades of experience shaping strategy, leading transformation, and guiding complex change across industries such as banking and financial services. Their backgrounds span enterprise architecture, solution design, software engineering, program leadership, and embedding architecture practices within complex organisations.
Rather than applying a fixed methodology or rigid delivery model, we work within the context of each organisation — recognising that structure, culture, risk appetite, and constraints all shape how initiatives succeed.
